Summerville, South Carolina was founded in 1785 and was originally called "Pineland Village" for the large pine forest in the area. In 1847 the city was incorporated and re-named "Summerville." In 2016 the city won the Guinness World Record for the "Largest Iced Tea" on National Iced Tea Day - a great feat considering the town claims to be the birthplace of sweet tea! The city is also home to the "Sweet Tea Trail" where visitors can sip sweet teas, view murals and see the legendary 15 foot mason jar filled with 2,524 gallons of sweet tea. Summerville has a great downtown area, with plenty of historical sites, museums, shops, restaurants and outdoor recreational activities to explore. Dueling Pianos International is available for show bookings in Summerville, South Carolina and the surrounding area!
