Dueling Pianos International in Athens, Georgia

Athens, Georgia was named by Governor John Milledge in the early 1800s after the European city of Athens located in Greece- a place well known for being a center of classical learning. The city of Athens, Georgia is sometimes referred to as "The Classic City", a fitting nickname for one of the best college towns in the U.S. There is plenty of learning to be continued outside of normal school as well. The Georgia Museum of Natural History and the Georgia Museum of Art are both located on the University of Georgia Campus. The Bear Hollow Zoo holds daily educational visits with a variety of native wildlife to see and the Sandy Creek Nature Center offers nature classes for both adults and children. The State Botanical Garden of Georgia offers adult classes and is also a great place to take a scenic walk through the trails or enjoy an outdoor concert.
